Home Alone

So, as we all know, Austin has been drafted to play pro baseball! I am so proud of him and excited as he takes this opportunity to chase his childhood dream. I know that if the roles were reversed, and I was the one with the once in a life time opportunity, Austin would tell me to go for it! He is an amazing person and I am so lucky to have him in my life. Go get 'em babe!

He has been gone for 2 weeks, and I'm not going to lie, it has been the longest two weeks EVER!!! Only 10 more to go.. haha. oh boy. I miss Austin like crazy. But, I have been truly blessed with amazing family, friends and neighbors to keep me company. I'm even grateful for my summer job at Costco ;) Thank you to everyone who has been reaching out to me lately and invited me to do fun things this summer. I appreciate it more than words can say.

Some fun and interesting things that have gone on since I've been home alone....
 -the toliet broke. Thank you Dad for talking me through step by step on how to fix it.
-worked a lot @ Costco
-went to an Owls game with the neighborhood kids
-swimming pool with friends
-dinner dates with girlfriends
-game night -been attacked by spiders (multiple times)
-skype, skype and more skype
-homemade oreo shakes
-shopping
-exercising
-dinner and movie in my pjs
-sleeping in
-learned how to mow a lawn
-crafts (pinterest)

All in all, it has been a great summer so far. It's not the summer I had been anticipating all year, but it's okay. I've decided change can be a good thing. I'm going home to Washington in about 3 1/2 weeks for some family time, my brother Corey's homecoming, and a vacation to Hawaii. I'm hoping to sneak down to Arizona for a few days to visit Austin as well!
