February

February was a great month filled with lots of excitement. First off, we had Valentines day. Austin and I celebrated the weekend before the 14th by going out to his favorite restaurant (Tucanos), going to see a "chick flick" and eating dessert. He also brought home a dozen of the prettiest fire and ice roses. Is that what they are called? I love the dark pinks and light pinks all mixed together. The next week, the baseball season officially began by the guys heading off to California for their first series. They won 2 out of the 3 games and have continued to travel this whole month. I've seen Austin a grand total of 4 days since Valentines Day. Gosh that sounds bad. But welcome to baseball season. Every year I forget what a time commitment being on the team is. But Austin loves it, and I love watching him play. Once the end of March rolls around and the weather warms up a bit here in Utah, the team will be playing a lot more at home, rather than away. In the meantime, he'll be in California on three different occasions, Arkansas and Nebraska. March 17th is the first home game and I can't wait!
More exciting news, my Dad has been deployed to Turkey since Christmas, and he is coming home this week! Perfect timing because my beautiful sister has her final performances in the cast of Footloose this weekend. We are all so proud of her. And I am lucky enough to go home to Washington for the weekend to see her perform as well! She has one of the girl leads in the play. Her character is Rusty. I can't wait to see it. I always wished I had the guts to be in a musical. It sounds like a blast. I mean look at Kendelle in this picture, she is glowing.
And another piece of good news for the month. I finished my teacher work sample (60 pages later) and it's all turned it! And I also had my second observation from my principal and she had great things to say about my teaching. Put a big smile on my face. I feel very blessed. Everything is going so well for Austin and I.
p.s. Corey comes home in 152! But who's counting?!
