Now tell me this...Is it a bad thing that I know that every single time Erin and I go to Cafe Rio the bill will be $19.38? Is that a sign that we go too much? Or that we are lame and always get the same thing? Whatever the case may be, I can tell you exactly how every single one of these trips to this amazing restaurant goes down.
1 - Upon arriving, we are surprised by the line being on the smaller side
2 - Erin orders a chicken salad with black beans
3 - I order a steak burrito with no beans, extra rice, mild sauce, enchilada style
4 - We get one drink to share (even though we both know it's mostly mine), and one water (for Erin)
5 - We have them punch our frequent diner card and we pay the all too common $19.38
6 - While we eat, the line gets longer and longer and we are both grateful we went when we did
7 - Oh and no matter how hard I try, I can't eat slow enough to finish at the same time Erin does...I always finish first
So there's a breakdown of our frequent Cafe Rio trips. All structurally the same, but all so very different. Who knows, maybe one of these days we'll mix something up and end up spending a different amount than $19.38...but I doubt it.
I love this. I'm assuming you went to Cafe Rio today. Otherwise you just think about it way too often.
